RescueRigger is available via an Internet download. The downloaded file is approximately 7 megabytes. You will not receive a disk.

An advantage of getting the software via a download, besides the fact that you receive RescueRigger immediately, is that you do not need to keep track of a CD. If your computer crashes or you want to reinstall the software, you can download RescueRigger at any time from RescueRigger.com/download. This ensures that you always have access to the software.

The first time you run RescueRigger, you will be promoted to enter a license key. This key is transmitted over the Internet to verify your license (learn more about license keys here). After verifying your license, RescueRigger downloads additional gear. This file is also approximately 7 megabytes. RescueRigger accesses the Internet every few months to check for newer versions of the program or gear.
