These instructions explain how to download and install Addin gear for version 5.0 (version 6.0 automatically checks for and installs new gear which eliminates this process):
  1. Make sure you have RescueRigger version 5.0.
     
  2. Locate the gear to download here.
     
  3. Click the Download button located to the right of the gear on the Version 5.0 Addin page.
     
  4. When prompted, Save the file on your computer. Be sure to save it in the folder named \Program Files\Iterum\RescueRigger\Addins.
      
    (This folder should already exist on your computer if RescueRigger is properly installed.) Be careful if you overwrite an existing file as it may delete a previous Addin.
     
  5. Restart RescueRigger.

Troubleshooting:

After downloading the Addin and restarting RescueRigger, check to see if the new gear appears in the "All" category of the Gear Panel. If it does not:

  1. Restart RescueRigger. 
     
  2. Choose Options from the Tools menu, select the Gear Panel page and make sure the new Addin is listed in the Options dialog and that it has a checkmark next to it (so it will appear in the Gear Panel). 
     
  3. If the Addin is not listed in the Options dialog, the file was not saved to the correct folder (see Step #4, above).
